Welcome to Loving Headwear
Artisan-colored headwear knitted and dyed by us next to the ocean in Burleigh Heads, Queensland, Australia. We combine colors inspired by nature—forests, water, mountains, earth, and sky. Using natural fibers, we create soft, comfortable headwear that feels as good as it looks.
Our headwear is knitted on 1930s circular knitting machines, lovingly refurbished and powered by solar energy. Sustainability is at the heart of our small business, with environmental preservation a top priority—our local rainforests and ocean continually inspire our designs.
Using pure Merino wool or blends of cotton and bamboo, our headwear is comfy, breathable, and biodegradable, safe to return to the earth. The blend and shading of our colors are inspired by the natural biodiversity of the Australian landscape.
Everything is made by family and friends, alongside music, food, and good company. It’s important to us that everyone who works with us can enjoy their work and be part of a genuine community. We believe a company should live up to its values—people working together and receiving a fair income.
All production, including washing, cutting, pressing, and packaging, is done in our home. We love what we do, and we hope you do too. Your support truly goes a long way!
For many years, we’ve made wraps for women experiencing hair loss from chemotherapy or alopecia, which we sold on our Etsy shop, Wrapdinlove. “Loving Headwear” is our new shop for everyone. We especially love our new 100% New Zealand Merino wool range, which is cruelty-free and ultra-soft.
We hope you enjoy our new shop!
