Welcome to Loving Headwear

Artisan coloured headwear knitted and dyed by us next to the ocean in Burleigh Heads, Queensland Australia.

We combine colours aligned with nature’s themes -  forests,  water, mountains, Earth, and sky.  Through the use of colour and natural fibres we produce soft comfy headwear.

Our headwear is knitted on our 1930’s circular knitting machines that have been lovingly refurbished and run on solar power. Sustainability grounds our small business with environmental preservation a top priority with local rainforests and ocean inspiring our designs.

Using pure merino wool or combining cotton and bamboo, our headwear is comfy, breathable and biodegradable - safe to return to the earth. The blend and shading of our colours are inspired by the natural biodiversity within the Australian landscape.

Everything is made by family and friends here where we create alongside music, food, and good company. It’s important to us that everyone who works with us can enjoy their work and be a part of a genuine community.  We believe a company should be what it says - people working together and receiving a valued income. Everything is produced within our home including production, washing, cutting, pressing and packaging.

We love what we do, and we hope you do too. We want you to know that your support goes a long way! For many years we’ve made wraps for women with hair loss from chemotherapy or alopecia which we sell on our Etsy shop Wrapdinlove.
